South Dakota Gov. Larry Rhoden announced May 2 he’s seeking nominations for a new lawmaker to represent District 1 in northeastern South Dakota after Rep. Chris Reder, R-Warner, resigned May 1.District 1 includes areas in Brown, Day, Marshall and Roberts counties.
