Spirit of Dakota Award Society is seeking nominations for the 39th anniversary of the Spirit of Dakota Award honoring an outstanding South Dakota woman. Nominations close Aug. 1. Recipient will be announced at a banquet at Huron Event Center Oct. 4.

Webster women go the distance at half marathon

Seven women from Webster ran 13.1 miles in the Fargo Half Marathon May 31 in Fargo, ND.Missy Rausch, Jenna Sinner, Jennifer Nelson, Madison Rausch, Addison Kuecker, Mia Coester and Norah Zubke all completed the race representing different ages and levels of experience.

Webster resident voices grievance over council’s approval of variance

Webster resident Barry Bullert told Webster City Council members at the June 2 monthly meeting he was unaware of a variance hearing, which he said impacts his neighborhood, and thought the council needed to do a better job of announcing such events.
