Waubay School welcomes new counselor, brings support and guidance to students
Waubay School counselor Alandra Harrelson is entering her first year in the position and said she is excited to connect with students. Prior to joining Waubay, she worked nine years in Redfield School District and earned her master’s degree in school counseling at Northern State. Alandra Harrelson got her first education experience in 2017 when her mother, an art teacher at Redfield School District, was diagnosed with cancer. Her mother quickly began treatment early in the school year and Harrelson came in as a substitute teacher when her mother’s condition worsened.
