State changes petition deadline to earlier date

The 2026 deadline for city and school uncombined/ combined petition deadline has been changed from Aug. 25 to Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. Although cities and schools have already published notices, they were recommended to publish another one by the South Dakota Municipal League.

Masters Walleye Tournament is coming to Bitter Lake Aug. 21-22. This is the second time Webster will be hosting the Masters Walleye Tournament and according to tournament director Jeff Kelm, he is excited to be coming back to the Webster area for the tournament.
