A two car head on collision on U.S. Hwy. 12, Mile 351, Rush Lake, was reported Jan. 16 at 7:04 a.m. According to Day County Sheriff Jerred Schreur, Waubay Fire Department, Day County Sheriff’s Department, Day County Ambulance Service, South Dakota Highway Patrol and Game, Fish & Parks were on scene.

Webster resident, Brianna Jorgenson, won three national awards for her photos, Senior, Teen Sports and Senior Sports Magazine. Jorgenson said this was the first time she was published and she is extremely grateful for the communnity for helping her with this achievement. Webster Post Office welcomes new postmaster

Kimberly Burgel was hired July 26 at Webster Post Office and was officially instated as the postmaster Dec. 8. Burgel has been working for post offices in Day County since 2008 and has worked her way up through the ranks.
