Waubay/Summit varsity Mustangs tracksters traveled to Hough Schilling Field for the Orville Pfitzer Relays April 15 at Britton.“It was a windy day but the athletes still performed to their best abilities,” said head coach Curtis Huffman.

Junior high Bearcats battle wind at track meet

Webster Area junior high tracksters traveled to Milbank for their first meet of the year with coach Cheryl McCreary looking to improve the team’s effort going forward.“The first meet went well, and we had some decent times and distances,” she said. “(We’ll) keep working to improve.”

Bearcat golf results

Tough elements greated Webster Area Bearcat golfers April 11 when they traveled to the Hamlin Early Bird golf meet at Lake Region Golf Course. Because of the weather, the course was reduced to a nine-hole event.

PIERRE – There are nine people nominated for two positions on the South Dakota High School Activities Association board of directors. Nominations took place April 17 during the association’s annual meeting.Five superintendents were nominated to fill the West River at-large position on the board.

Mustang athletes hit track for first time this year

Chop Relays April 9.“It was a good first meet,” said head coach Curtis Huffman. “We had a lot of first time athletes competing and they did very well experiencing a varsity track meet. We will continue to grow and look to get better and better each meet.”
