Waubay/Summit Mustangs boys basketball team galloped away with a victory over the visiting Northwestern Wildcats Feb. 8 at Waubay. The Mustangs were strides ahead of the Wildcats throughout the game, going 14-11, 28-27, 41-34 and 54-42 in the final.

Langford Area Lions boys basketball team fell to Britton/Hecla Braves Feb. 7 in a home game.Quarter scores showed Lions tailed 1819, 23-28, 41-48, and finally 53-61.Lions had seven of 29 two-point field goals and sunk 12 of 32 attempted three-pointers.

Webster Area Bearcats girls competed in the Lee Wolf Invitational Feb. 1 and the Yankton Girls Invitational Feb. 7.Lee Wolf Invitational 107Macee McGregor placed fifth and scored nine team points. She received a bye in round one. Chalie Sah, Huron won via fall over McGregor in the quarterfinal.

Bearcats wrestlers hosted the Webster Area Triangular at the Webster Armory Jan. 30. Competing against the Bearcats were the Sisseton Redmen and Milbank Bulldogs, who each outscored Webster Area in total team points.
