Day County youths traveled to Grand Island, NE June 21-26, to compete in the 2026 4-H Shooting Sports national championships. With 36 participants in attendance, Day County was able to walk away with a few top placements and South Dakota won third place overall for the Tom Davison sweepstakes award, which compiles points from every state with complete teams for each discipline.
