Sharon Majeske, 91, of Webster, passed away, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at American Lutheran Church in Webster. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.
Sharon Joy (Williamson) Majeske was born January 1, 1935, on a family farm north of Bristol, South Dakota. She was baptized at Bergen Church and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol. She attended country school near their family farm during her first eight years of education and then graduated from Bristol High School in 1952. After graduation she worked in Aberdeen. She met the love of her life Sheldon Majeske in 1953-54. They married on June 11, 1955, making their first home in Bristol. They moved to Florence, South Dakota and lived there for a year before moving to Webster where they made their final home. Sharon worked for many years at the Day County Courthouse in the Assessor’s Office and the Register of Deeds. Sharon and Sheldon raised three children; Shala, Randy and Karlene. Always attending their many activities, sports events, concerts, recitals. After retirement she worked for many years volunteering at Needs Anonymous. Sharon was on the Church Council at American Lutheran Church, and enjoyed many activities: golfing, bowling, reading, crocheting, playing Bridge and most of all visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sharon will be remembered by her three children: Shala (Tom) Senske, Sioux Falls, Randy (Cheryl) Majeske, Aberdeen and Karlene Everson (Mike Hickey) Sioux Falls. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Serena Darger, Sioux Falls, Samantha (Brad) Kuecker, Webster, Stacy (Cody) Rolfes, Sioux Falls, Jordan (Kelsey) Majeske, Aberdeen, Blake Majeske, Aberdeen, and Erica Everson, Rapid City, along with her 13 great grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by her brother, Lyle Williamson (Julie), Palm Springs, CA; sister, Virginia Carter, North Hills, CA, and sisterin- law, Donna Majeske, Webster.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Sheldon; her parents-Gilbert and Serene Williamson; brothers, Robert and Gary Williamson, sisters, Shirley Thorson and Karla Baker; father and mother-in-law William and Erna Majeske; brothers-in-law, Ervin and Edwin Majeske; sisters- in-law, Marie Stark and Caroline Hanson.
