Scott Jacobson, 66, Watertown, died June 26, 2024 at Watertown.
Memorial services were July 24, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Webster.
Scott Parker Jacobson was born Jan. 8, 1958, to Gerald and Barbara (Johnson) Jacobson at Watertown. He was baptized and confirmed at American Lutheran Church, Webster. He attended school in Webster and graduated in 1976. He furthered his education at Lake Area Technical Institute, Watertown, obtaining his degree in advance auto maintenance and repair. He returned to Webster and worked various jobs in mechanics, trucking and welding. He also completed computer training with Microsoft. He moved to Watertown and took a position at Codington County Heritage Museum as an archivist and later worked at Sharp’s Automotive as a courtesy driver. In 2020, he retired and continued to make his home in Watertown. This past June, he celebrated 11 years of sobriety.
He enjoyed the Minnesota Twins and last visited Target Field with family in 2017. In his youth, while living in Albuquerque, NM he followed The Dodgers farm team. He enjoyed British comedy, classic and new cars, family get-togethers and especially his children and granddaughter.
Survivors include his children, Nicole Jacobson, Groton; Aaron Jacobson and Brittany Jacobson, Aberdeen; one granddaughter; siblings, Tim Jacobson, Kari and Doug Valsvig, Webster; Susan and Dr. Mark Rieb, Watertown; Ann and Scott Hakes, Asheville, NC; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
