Peter Lesnar

Peter Lesnar, 83, Roslyn died May 12, 2026 at Stand-Kjorsvig Living Center, Roslyn.

Memorial service will be July 9, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Grenville.

Peter “Pete” Lesnar, Bristol was born in Waubay June 29, 1942 to John and Esther (Ewalt) Lesnar. He grew up on the family farm near Grenville and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School until eighth grade. He moved to Wisconsin with his brother and graduated from high school in Pulaski, WI. He went to school in Pulaski to join the Brotherhood but he discovered girls and decided Brotherhood wasn’t for him. In 1960, he enlisted in the Army. He went to basic training at Fort Ord, California, then to Germany where he worked with a heavy artillery unit. He was discharged in 1963.

He married Janice Reiprich Nov. 26, 1966. He farmed raising cattle, pigs, wheat, oats and other crops, was a barber in Bristol and owned and operated Lesnar Oil.

He married Darlas Opsal June 27, 2008, in Groton. They traveled to Alaska, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park. Darlas died Oct. 26, 2020.

He enjoyed teaching his children how to hunt, fish and work for what they want. He entered Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center Dec. 3, 2024. He enjoyed his time there getting to know the staff and residents.

Survivors include his children, Denise and Steve Speck, Aberdeen; Shawn Lesnar, Bristol; John and Dawn Lesnar, Mansfield, TX; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony, Bernie, Brother Reynold, Gerald and Darlene, Raymond, Joseph and Evonne and sister, Josephine Maag; brothers-in-law, Darrel and Linda, Denis and Karen, Dean and Linda, Dante and Amber Mikkelson; sister-in-law, Deena and Adrian Heitman, many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a set of twins, two grandchildren, twin great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas and John Jr.; brother-in-law, Lowell Maag and sisters-in-law, Shirley and Elaine Lesnar.
