Pamela Connor

Pamela Connor, 77, Waubay died at Sun Dial Manor, Bristol.

Memorial services were Aug. 23, 11 a.m. at American Lutheran Church, Webster. Memorial visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.

Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Aberdeen at a later date.

Pamela Faye Murschel was born to Lawrence and Loa (Olson) Murschel March 3, 1948, in Webster. She graduated from Webster High School in 1966. She attended Northern State University, Aberdeen where she enjoyed activities including debate squad and drama crew. She graduated in 1969 with a bachelor of science in secondary education with major in English and minor in speech. She lived near Mobridge and taught English at Standing Rock High School, Fort Yates, ND for a time. She moved to California and lived there until 1973 when she returned to Aberdeen and enrolled in the nursing program at Presentation College. She was a 1975 graduate and passed her registered nurse series 775 exam July 1, 1975.

She married Donald Connor Dec. 29, 1974 in Aberdeen. They lived in Aberdeen and she worked at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen as director of nursing. After her father’s death in 1995, she started a career with Lutheran Brotherhood. In 2007, they moved to Blue Dog Lake, Waubay and she continued to work in Aberdeen. In 2008 she began working at Strand-Kjorsvig Community Rest Home, Roslyn as a registered nurse. She retired in December 2019.

In retirement she enjoyed watching nature, reading, cooking, her pet cats and listening to her favorite music.

Survivors include her son, Shad and Heidi Connor, Horace, ND; two grandsons and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Loa Ka and Gerald Keeley.

Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster was in charge of arrangements.
