Nancy Guffin

Nancy Guffin, 78, Webster, died Feb. 21, 2025, at Plano, TX after a battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be June 21, 11 a.m. at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster. Inurnment will follow at Webster Cemetery.

Nancy Claire Magee was born March 15, 1941 to William and Evelyn (Besaw) Magee at Potsdam, NY. They moved to South Dakota where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1964 and furthered her education at Northern State University, Aberdeen.

She married David Guffin Dec. 28, 1966 at Huron. They lived in Watertown and Webster. She managed Webster Golf Course for 30 years and worked as a paraprofessional at Webster school for 24 years, as well as owning and operating her in-home daycare for many years. She retired in 2012.

She was a member of United Methodist Church, Webster where she taught Sunday school, Bible school and led youth groups. She was also a Brownies, Girls and Cub scout leader and assisted with 4-H in Webster. She enjoyed reading and exercising. She had special bonds with the children she taught and babysat.

Survivors include her husband, Webster; two sons, Dana and Becky Guffin, Aberdeen; Eric and Jessica Guffin, Frisco, TX; one daughter, Amy and Sev Koerner, Clovis, CA; five grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Tim and Carol Magee, Helena, MT; one sister, Julie and Rick Briggs, Watertown; several nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.
