Gloria Paulson, 90, of Webster and formerly of Bristol, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Bethesda Home in Webster.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Tabor Lutheran Church (former ShopKo building) in Webster. Burial was at St. Ansgar Cemetery near Lily.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the funeral home.
Gloria Mae McCarlson was born on March 27, 1934, to Martin and Minnie (Johnson) McCarlson. She was baptized and confirmed at Tabor Lutheran Church. She graduated from Webster High School in 1952. On Nov. 11, 1952, she married Alva Donald Nash at Tabor Lutheran Church near Webster. To this union three children were born, Dan, Renae and Dawn. She was employed at various businesses in Webster and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol for many years. On Oct. 30, 1980, she married Gene Paulson. The couple made their home on the Paulson family farm until 1995, when flooding forced them to move to Bristol. Gene passed away in 2009. Gloria continued to live in Bristol until recently moving to Bethesda Home in Webster.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, word search puzzles and playing BINGO.
Gloria passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, in Webster at the age of 90 years, one month and 12 days.
She is survived by her children, Dan (Lana) Nash of Waubay, Renae (Jim) Dale of Florence, and Dawn (Adrian) Rumpza of Webster, three grandchildren, Amber Nash, Allen (Kirstin) Nash, and Aaron (Kelly) Dale, as well as three great-grandchildren, Hazel and June Dale and Kenny Nash. She is also survived by one sister Evelyn Likness as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouses Don and Gene, one grandchild, and siblings, Sophie, Arnold, Sherman, Marian and Martha.
