Donna Majeske

Donna Mae Majeske, 96, of Webster, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Sanford Hospital, Webster.

Private family services were held.

Donna Mae Bohn was born May 22, 1930 on the family farm near Butler, South Dakota to Frank Erwin & Helen A. Molloy Bohn. She was baptized and raised in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

She attended country school Midway 115 through eighth grade. She then boarded with a family to attend Webster High School, where she graduated in 1948 and received the honor of Homecoming Queen.

On July 20, 1951, Donna married Edwin “Ed” Majeske in Butler. Donna accompanied Ed to Boston and Puerto Rico while he served in the U.S. Navy until they returned to Webster and made their permanent home. They raised four children, Marla, Doug, Chuck and Melanie.

Donna cared for and about everyone. She loved spending time with family, music, yellow canaries, and putting in the last piece of the puzzle.

She will be forever missed by her children, Marla (Jim) Redlin of Fargo, ND; Doug (Cheri) Majeske of Rapid City; Chuck (Shari) Majeske of Webster and Melanie (Joe) Gaikowski of Webster; her eight grandchildren, Jenny Redlin, Michael Redlin, Sarah (Greg) Rathert, Denny Majeske, Erran (Shane) Blackledge, Ashley (Sean) Ogren, Ross (Anna) Yost,and Leslie (Zach) Busch.

She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Colby and Leo Rathert, Elliot Majeske, Walker and Rory Ogren, Grady and Helen Yost and Carson and Makayla Busch; two sisters-in-law, Elayne (Jerry) Bohn and Betty (Galand) Bohn and many nieces and nephews. Three step-grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) Lewis, Danielle (Kaden) Hoglund, Josh (Jessica) Gaikowski and six step great-grandchildren, Trey, Abbi and Jersey Lewis, Elise and Josie Hoglund and Grayson Gaikowski.

And Dickie, her yellow canary.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Delores (Bohn) Petty and Dorothy (Bohn) Mattson; brothers, Lloyd “Bud” Zimmerman, Gerald “Jerry” Bohn and Galand Bohn.
