Donald Connor, 86, Waubay died Aug. 10, 2025, at Sun Dial Manor, Bristol. Memorial service was Aug. 16 at American Lutheran Church, Webster.
Donald “Don” Connor was born Sept. 8, 1938, in Doland. He was the son of John and Helen (Brede) Connor.
He married Pamela Murschel Dec. 29, 1974 in Aberdeen. They lived in Aberdeen. He founded Connor & Son Construction in 1976 as owner and contractor. He retired Sept. 11, 2001 but continued to lend his skills to projects for family and friends.
In 2007, he built their retirement home on Blue Dog Lake Waubay. He stayed active with handson projects. He enjoyed fishing Blue Dog Lake and the Missouri River, pheasant hunting, cultivating a vegetable garden and canning. He enjoyed his son’s youth hockey games and following his grandsons’ pursuits.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Shad and Heidi Connor, Horace, ND; two grandsons and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale.
