Funeral services were Aug. 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Webster Cemetery, Webster.
Dewey Herman Bernu was born April 17, 1944 to William and Martha (Lathinen) Bernu in Minneapolis, MN. He served in the U.S. Army for three years including overseas in Korea. He worked in the oil fields of Alaska.
He married Betty Ann Murschel in Minneapolis.
Survivors include sons, Curtis and Melissa Bernu, Houston, TX; Christopher and Jan Bernu, New York; Jamie Bernu, Kearney, NE; daughter, Jennifer and Jessie Hammons, Corpus Christi; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; sister, Marion and Gary Lester, Arizona; sister-in-law, Deborah Bernu, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Alan Bernu.
