David Rudebusch, 69, Milbank died May 17, 2025 at Avantara, Milbank.
Funeral services were May 23 at Ortley Free Lutheran Church, Ortley. Pastor Ken Flaten officiated. Burial was in Ortley Cemetery.
David Allen Rudebusch was born April 5, 1956, in Webster to Robert and Ramona (Knopf) Rudebusch. He grew up on the family farm near Ortley and graduated from high school in Waubay with the Class of 1974.
He married Donna Marquardt April 19, 1986, in Twin Brooks. He worked as a parts salesman for Case IH throughout South Dakota and Minnesota. In 1992, they moved to Summit. In 1997, he began working for the City of Summit in maintenance until retiring in 2013. They moved to Milbank in 2022.
He was active in Ortley Free Lutheran Church, serving for many years as either president or vice president. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Milbank; sons, Steve and Marie Rudebusch, Mellette; Josh and Ashley Rudebusch, Ortley; Matt and Tracy Rudebusch, Peever; David and Courtnie Rudebusch, Milbank; James and Jennifer Rudebusch, Watertown; 10 grandchildren; sister, Julie and Lloyd Kranz, Kranzburg; brother, Robert and Jean Rudebusch, Wahpeton, ND; sisters-in-law, Pam Rudebusch, Watertown and Judi Rudebusch, Corona; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susie Rudebusch; brothers, Larry Rudebusch and Rick Rudebusch; parents- in-law, Albert and Alice Marquardt.
