Dale Gullickson

Dale Gullickson - Col. USAF (Ret), 73, Waynesville, OH died July 30, 2025 at his home.

Private graveside service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.

Dale C. Gullickson was born in Webster and raised in Roslyn. The son of Lovella and Sidney Gullickson, he graduated from Roslyn High School in 1969, South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy in 1974 and University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1979.

He married Donna Lynn Winchell June 2, 1979. He accepted a commission in the U.S. Air Force in June 1979. He completed a general practice residency in dentistry and endodontic residency during 24 years in the U.S. Air Force. His assignments included bases within the United States, England and the Middle East. He was deployed to the Middle East during the Persian Gulf War for Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

His decorations include three meritorious service, three Air Force commendation and two national defense service medals; seven outstanding unit awards, small arms expert marksmanship ribbon (pistol), Southwest Asia service medal, Kuwait liberation medal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait liberation medal Government of Kuwait and others. He was active in sports and physical fitness and especially enjoyed coaching his sons in multiple sports. He enjoyed upgrading and remodeling his residences while moving from assignment to assignment, golfing, the outdoors and nature.

Survivors include his second wife, Donna Lorene; sons, Adam Gullickson and Courtney, Kevin Gullickson and Zoe; eight grandchildren; brother, Orrin Gullickson and Carol; stepchildren, Jeremy Dimbath and Leslie, Aaron Dimbath and Jamie, Janelle Gaver and Keith, Alex Dimbath and Katie; six step-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Steven Winchell, Glenn Winchell and Kris; sister-in-law, Kathie Haskins and Joel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Donna and sister, Sheryl.
