Connie Bury, 59, Bristol, died Nov. 21, 2025, at Sanford Hospital Webster. Funeral services were Nov. 29, 1 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Bristol. Burial was at Webster Cemetery.
Visitation was Nov. 28, 2-4 p.m. at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster.
Connie Lynn Johnson was born Sept. 17, 1966, in Webster to Merle and Frances (Rider) Johnson. She was baptized at the Methodist Church, Summit. In 1969, they moved to Groton, where she began elementary school. In 1976, they settled on a farm near Bristol. She attended Bristol School and graduated in 1984. During her high school years, she babysat for many local families. She continued her education at Lake Area Tech, Watertown, earning her degree in social work.
She married Lyle Bury Sept. 12, 1994, in Webster. They lived in Bristol. Throughout the years, she worked in several office positions throughout Day County.
She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church, Bristol and previously served on the Bristol City Council. She was a talented quilter and enjoyed spending time with a good book or a favorite movie. She especially enjoyed the TV show Supernatural and cheering on NASCAR races.
Survivors include her husband, Bristol; mother, Fran Morehouse, Bristol; daughter Melanie and Troy Beisch, Sioux Falls; two granddaughters; siblings, Mark and Stacy Johnson, Zumbrota, MN; Duane and Jess Morehouse, Devils Lake, ND; Corrine and Jerry Lepp, Ashley, ND; Debra and Dennis Erdahl, Sioux Falls; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father; infant daughter, Alana Bury and stepfather, Lowell Morehouse.
