Clinton Nilson

Clinton Nilson, 96, Roslyn and formerly of Webster, died Oct. 31, 2024, at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center, Roslyn.

Memorial services were Nov. 7, 2024 at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster and were livestreamed. Military honors followed the service. Private inurnment was at Tabor Lutheran Cemetery.

Clinton Arden Nilson was born March 3, 1928 to Jens and Trina (Rikmo) Nilson at Webster. He was baptized and confirmed at Tabor Lutheran Church, rural Webster. He attended country school through eighth grade, then stayed home to help on the family farm. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1952-54, working as a mechanical engineer.

He married MaryAnn Miotke. As a dairy farmer, he continued milking cows until he was 80 years old.

Fishing and hunting were two of his favorite pastimes, as well as visiting over a cup of coffee and a glazed donut.

Survivors include his children, Craig and Muriel Nilson, Webster; Cathy and Rod Christmann, North Platte, NE; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings, Mabel, Nora, Orville, Harold, Helen, Reynold and Justin.
