Arlene Lee passed away at the age of 96 on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Milbank, SD. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2025 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown, SD. Pastor Clark Audiss will officiate. Interment will be at Goodhue Cemetery, Florence, SD. Pallbearers will be Katina Lee, Mynor Aldair Enriquez, Larry Ulsert, Leon Holzerland, Loren Holzerland and Kristopher Sikkink.
Arlene Viola Lee was born on February 27, 1929 in Webster, South Dakota to Otto and Minnie (Larsen) Holzerland. The family lived on a farm south of Waubay, South Dakota.
She married John T. Lee on October 25, 1947 in Ortonville, MN; the couple was blessed with five children.
Arlene enjoyed quilting, gardening, dancing, baking and collecting dolls; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was always an inviting host to anyone who visited.
Survivors are her children, Joanne (Wayne) Parrow of Hendrum, MN, LaVonne (Bob) Wood of Highmore, SD, Allen (Pam) Lee of Watertown, SD, Duane Lee of Highmore, SD and LaVern (Kari) Lee of South Shore, SD; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Holzerland of Waubay, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Minnie Holzerland; his sister, Ruth North; and her husband John.
