In a large farm shop two miles north of Andover, 19-year-old Scott Hughes toiled away dozens of hours disassembling, sandblasting and reassembling an obsolete agricultural implement. He didn’t plan on using the “vintage” ‘60’s planter. He was reviving a rusty reminder representing family roots running deep into the Day County soil.
