Faye Hoven, 74, died June 6, 2026, under hospice care at Bethesda Home, Webster.
Arrangements are pending with Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster.
Faye was born March 16, 1952 in Anchorage, AK to Berdell and Irene Cavanaugh. She was an excellent cook and baker and was original owner of The Shack on Broadway in Fargo; some of her recipes are still on their menu. She and her husband Duane Hoven spent their retirement years between their home in Arizona and their lake home at Enemy Swim Lake.
She enjoyed tending her gardens, sharing music, cooking with her daughters and spending time with her granddaughters. She was an active member of her church, directing choir, chairing the Christmas program and helping in the church office.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Nicole Pieske and Kelly (Tim) Reed, three granddaughters, mother and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father and two grandsons.
