Myrna Mork

Myrna Mork, 93, rural Pierpont, died May 5, 2026 at her home.

Memorial services were May 23, 10:30 a.m. at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster. Inurnment was at Bergen Cemetery near Bristol.

Memorial visitation was May 22, 5-7 p.m. at Fiksdal Funeral Service.

Myrna Jean Hoadley was born Sept. 27, 1932 in Houghton to Revilo and Mabel Hoadley. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Houghton, where she attended elementary school before attending high school in Groton. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, she worked as a nurse’s aide at hospitals in Britton and Mauston, WI. She also worked at Bluebird Cafe, Groton.

She married Jerome Mork June 5, 1953 in Rapid City. They lived on the homesteaded family farm and shared 48 years of marriage. She worked at Dakotah, Webster for 19 years.

She enjoyed the outdoors, her vegetable and flower gardens, planting trees and her many farm animals. She also enjoyed spending time socializing with friends.

Survivors include three sons, David and Connie Mork, Yorkville, IL: Jerry and Rita Mork, Pierpont; Donald and Ann Mork, Sanders, MT; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Duane Hoadley and sister, Maxine Iverson.
