Donald Kotzea, 63, Aberdeen formerly of Webster, died April 15, 2026 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community, Aberdeen.
Mass of Christian burial was May 16 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Webster. Burial was in Waubay Catholic Cemetery.
Donald “Donnie” Kotzea was born Feb. 5, 1963 to Gene and Jacqueline (Dokter) Kotzea in Webster. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Waubay. He enjoyed living on the farm helping with the daily chores and visiting his grandmother. He later moved to Aberdeen where he worked at various jobs.
He married Susan Forbush April 26, 1996. Susan died in 2021.
He enjoyed watching TV, playing board games and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his brother, Darrell, Watertown and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Mari Dan; brothers, Ronald, Joseph and David.
