New deputy joins Day County Sheriff’s Office

  • In early April, Slade Owen started working for the Day County Sheriff’s Office as the newest deputy. Owen stated he grew up near Wilmot and spent time in the Enemy Swim and Waubay area as well while growing up. Owen previously worked for Marshall County as a deputy for three years.     Effective April 7, Slade Owen is the newest deputy for the Day County Sheriff’s Office. Slade stated he previously worked for Marshall County for three years, got certified and was a deputy.
