Allen Lentsch

Allen Lentsch, 84, Lilydale, MN died April 10, 2026.

Celebration of life will be May 4, 11 a.m. at Trondhjem Lutheran Church, Lonsdale, MN and will be live streamed. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at Historic Trondhjem Cemetery, Lonsdale.

Allen Lentsch was born Dec. 12, 1941, in Webster to Carl and Ida Lentsch. He graduated from Roslyn High School in 1960.

He married Joyce Vrchota May 11, 1963, in Eden. They had three daughters. He served in the U.S. Army for three years. He was stationed at a Nike site in Minnesota and worked in missile defense. He worked for Prudential for 20 years while also remodeling and building homes. He served as executive director of Minnesota Used Car Dealers Association and founded Northland Auto Enterprises in 1990.

After the death of his first wife, he married Barb Dec. 21, 1997. They visited all 50 states and every country in Europe.

He served on the board of Sterling Bank several years and was a council member for Feed My Starving Children. He held multiple patents for various devices.

Survivors include his wife; children, Deborah Lentsch, Dawn and Doug Canon, Mark and Pam Canedy, Tamara and Derrell Polk, Michelle and Kevin Lettow; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice Schneider, Muriel Hintz, Lester Lentsch, Dan and Yvonne Lentsch.
