David Lewandowski Sr., 71, rural Waubay, died Feb. 16, 2026, at his home.
Mass of Christian burial will be Feb. 24, 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Waubay. Burial will be at Waubay Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Feb. 23, 5-7 p.m. at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster closing with 7 p.m. Rosary.
David Lewandowski was born Nov. 7, 1954 to Frank and Bertha (Rinas) Lewandowski at Peabody Hospital, Webster. He attended Alto Country School until eighth grade and then attended Waubay High School. After graduating, he lived and worked on the family farm.
He married Donna Jensen April 16, 1977, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Waubay. A lifelong farmer, he raised sheep, cattle and crops.
He enjoyed attending auction sales, bidding and camaraderie of neighbors. He enjoyed swathing oats, raking hay and combining grain. He especially enjoyed time with his family, sharing stories and watching his children and grandchildren grow.
Survivors include his wife; children, David and Jennifer Lewandowski, Chris Lewandowski, Summit; Aaron and Rebecca Lewandowski, Waubay; Kim Jensen, Watertown; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Malinda and his infant brother.
