Eugene Moeller, 71, Warrenton, MO died Jan. 22, 2026.
Funeral service is Feb. 2, 10 a.m. at Central Grove United Methodist Church, Warrenton. Visitation was Feb. 1, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Prayer service and scattering of ashes will be on the Moeller family farm this summer.
Eugene Earl Moeller was born Oct. 23, 1954 in Huron to Margaret and Richard Moeller. He grew up on the family farm near St. Lawrence. After graduating from Miller High School, he earned a degree in agriculture education at South Dakota State University.
He married Marilyn Luckhurst August 20, 1977. In a few years, they moved to Huron and bought a farm. In addition to farming, he held various side jobs. He participated in church, 4-H, music and sports activities.
After their sons graduated, he and Marilyn enrolled as Licensed Local Pastors in the United Methodist Church. The work took them to Arlington, Lake Preston, Webster, Bristol and Florence; Mohall, Sherwood and Bowbells, ND and California, MO. In retirement, he transitioned to part-time pastor for Central Grove and Smith Creek UMC churches. They moved to Troy, MO where they enjoyed spending time with family and traveling to St. Louis, MO for sports and entertainment.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Jackson and Lorena, Curtis and Jack and two grandsons.
