Edward V. Fischer, 88, died Jan. 24, 2026. Funeral service was Jan. 31, 11 a.m. at Mueller- Bies Funeral Home, Lino Lakes, MN. Interment Morningside Memorial Gardens.
Ed V. Fischer was born Aug. 10, 1937. At an early age, he began drawing cartoons and became a nationally recognized editorial cartoonist whose career spanned more than 70 years. His humor, wit and artistry earned him a place in more than 50 syndicated newspapers. He published more than eight books, met three U.S. presidents and was a regular attendee at the National Press Club.
Survivors include ex-wife, Phyllis Price; four daughters, Rebekka Fisher and Jim McNelis, Pam and Conal Hession, Jacqueline Fisher, Paula and Kevin Wu and seven grandchildren.
