Tigers senior reaches 1,000th basketball point milestone

Ahead of Groton Area’s Jan. 15 basketball game against Tiospa Zina Wambdi, Tiger’s senior Ryder Johnson was eight points shy of reaching 1,000 for his varsity high school career. With a 15 point effort Johnson surpassed the milestone in an eventual 83-9 win.
“He’s a very coachable kid. He’s worked very hard on his game and does anything he can to improve our team,” head coach Greg Kjellsen said.
