Ruby Sakariason, 93, Webster, died Dec. 20, 2025 at Bethesda Home, Webster.
Funeral services were Dec. 26, 2 p.m. at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster. Pastor Mike DeKraai officiated. Interment was at Webster Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ruby Marie Eliason was born Jan. 27, 1932 to Nels and Marie (Thorheim) Eliason on the family farm north of Bristol. She attended country school near the family farm and, following her education, moved to Webster where she worked as a nanny for a local family.
She married Carman Sakariason Jan. 15, 1970 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Webster. They lived in Webster. She often traveled alongside him as he worked on road construction. In the 1980s, she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant certification and began her nursing career at Bethesda Home, Webster. She worked at Strand-Kjorsvig in Roslyn until her retirement in 2011. Following her retirement, they moved to Pleasant View Apartments. Carman died in 2017 and she moved to Bethesda Home in 2021 where she resided until the present time.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she was active in Circle and was a longtime member of Sons of Norway. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, playing and winning at cards, especially whist. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and being a greatgreat-great aunt.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Esther and Rueben Williams, Shirley and Don Jorgenson and one nephew.
