Lana Nash, 69, Waubay, died Nov. 29, 2025, at her home in Waubay.
Private memorial service was Dec. 4 and was livestreamed via Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster.
Lana Kay Ryan was born June 29, 1956, in Rapid City to Dexter and Lorraine (Anderson) Ryan. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Waubay. Her father served in the U.S. Air Force so she spent much of her childhood living in places as far away as England and Italy. In 1972, they moved to Waubay. She graduated from Waubay High School in 1974. She pursued her education at Lake Area, Watertown and earned her degree in respiratory therapy.
She married Dan Nash May 15, 1976. They lived in Waubay. She began her career at Day County Hospital, Webster and devoted nearly 50 years of service to Webster and surrounding area.
She enjoyed animals especially her horses and pets. She also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and collecting Italian Murano glass.
Survivors include her husband, Waubay; daughter, Amber Nash, Waubay; son, Allen and Kirsten Nash, Aberdeen; one grandson, Aberdeen; siblings, Marvin Ryan, Watertown; Robert and Lisa Ryan, Sioux Falls; Pam and Steve Eidet, Waubay; Sandy Ryan, Gwinner, ND; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Kenneth Lickness.
