David Kotzea, 51, Aberdeen died Oct. 1, 2025 at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, Aberdeen.
Memorial Service was Oct 17 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Webster and was live streamed.
David Kotzea was born Oct. 4, 1973 to Gene and Jacqueline (Dokter) Kotzea in Webster. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Waubay. He enjoyed the farm and the short walk to his grandmother’s house. He later moved to Aberdeen where he lived until the time of his death.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, razzing his brothers, watching television, especially Cowboys football and morning coffee.
Survivors include his brothers Donald, Aberdeen; Darrell, Watertown and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mari and brothers, Ronald and Joseph.
