Groton Area Tigers cross country competed in the Sisseton XC meet Oct. 2 at the Valley View Country Club in Sisseton.
Jayden Schwan won the boys varsity 5k finishing first in 17:43.32. He was followed by Blake Malsam in 26:22.92 for 22nd.
Groton also had two other runners place first in their races; Riley Shellenberger for the junior varsity boys 4k and Avery Huber in the middle school girls 3k.
