Carol Ann Lundberg passed away Aug. 18, 2025. She was born Nov 24, 1935 in Lily, South Dakota to Henry and Nellie Lundberg. She had two brothers, Leo and Stan. In 1958, she moved by herself to Long Beach, California.
Her first job was at a dental office. She moved into corporate and managed dental insurance policy.
She joined the Sierra Club and traveled the world through that affiliation.
She spent 46 years in California and retired in Spearfish, SD, and lived there for 21 years.
Carol is a recognized donor for Black Hills State University students. For many years she supported students with academic scholarships.
Carol will be greatly missed. She is survived by nephews, Terry, Lee, and Greg Lundberg and families, nieces, Patty, Rhonda and Lori and families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nellie, and brothers, Leo and Stan and niece Renee.
She has been laid to rest with her parents in the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Butler. Rest in peace, Auntie.
