Michael Coyle, 70, Rapid City, died Sept. 8, 2025 at Ava’s House, Sioux Falls after a long battle with COPD and injuries from a car accident.
Celebration of life will be at a later date.
Michael “Mike” Joseph Coyle was born March 2, 1955 to Mick and Bev (Kennedy) Coyle at Peabody Hospital, Webster. He began working at age 12 and worked until health issues forced his retirement.
He married Debbie Hanley. They had two sons.
With his second marriage to Renae, he became stepfather to Jamie “Bon Jovi.” With his third marriage to Barbara, he became stepfather to Daniel Lye.
He enjoyed hunting, partying, fishing, guns, hot rods and dogs. He had many friends.
Survivors include his sons, Jamie and Danny Max; stepsons, Jamie “Bon Jovi” and Daniel; two brothers, Doug and Linda, Wade and Janet; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William “Bim” Coyle, parents and grandparents.
