JoAnne Thompson, 90, of Des Moines, WA, died Nov. 14, 2024.
Services will be June 26, 1 p.m. at Journey of Faith Methodist Church, Webster. Graveside burial will follow at Webster City Cemetery.
JoAnne A. Loseth was born Jan. 23, 1934 in Webster to Edwin and Lillian Loseth. She graduated from Webster High School in 1952. As a child, she helped care for her siblings while her parents worked. She enjoyed singing in church choir, dancing, ice skating and reading.
She married Dennis Eck. They were married for 24 years. From 195557, they ran a cafe in Wallace before moving to Boulevard Park, WA in the late ‘50s.
She later married William Thompson and they shared 11 years, often sailing Puget Sound. She worked for many years in bookkeeping, tax prep and record-keeping.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with family. She frequently returned to Webster in the summer for allschool reunions and to reconnect with friends, often bringing her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy; son, Randy and Debbie; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Dale; many inlaws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Jerry and Billy; sister, Evelyn and brother, Jim.
