Crayfish boil organizers announce new fund in support of community efforts
What started out as a shop-warming p arty- turned-fundraiser has reached the decade mark and organizers have decided the time has come for them to pass the torch on to someone else.
Joel and Alyssa Shoemaker of rural Webster inadvertently began the annual Good Friday crayfish boil a decade ago. The event has drawn the support of hundreds of community members raising, to-date, nearly $130,000.
