Grazing at local eateries while on vacation in Kansas

Eating is a central part of the human experience much in the same way that swimming is a central part of being a fish. My wife and I recently visited relatives in the Kansas City area, so we decided to swim in the waters of the region’s food scene.

South Dakota program offers aspiring farmers a rare path into agriculture

MITCHELL – Cody Kafka had dreamed of farming his own land since he began working on a farm in his teens, but that seemed unlikely without land to inherit. So it felt good when he finally walked across his own acres for the first time this year.

NESD Head Start volunteer Rick Buhler was presented the annual hometown hero award by Modern Woodmen chapter of Webster for his nearly 11 years of service to the childcare nonprofit.Buhler began volunteering in early 2015 after retiring a few years early.
