Senior Citizens

Webster Senior Citizens met Sept. 15 with 11 members and one guest present. Card winners were Ilene Stave, whist and Dennis DeWitte pinochle. Elaine Bistodeau and Dennis DeWitte served lunch. Next meeting is Oct. 6, 1 p.m. at Webster Golf Clubhouse, upper floor. Ilene Stave will serve lunch.

Two Waubay/ Summit runners place in top ten at Castlewood

Waubay/Summit competed in the CWL Invitational cross country meet Sept. 25 at the Clark Municipal golf course.Two runners competed at the meet in the boys junior varsity 3k race for the Mustangs. Carsyn Grebner finished in 12:54.28 placing him 41st followed by Owen Nelson in 13:46.21 for 45th.

Time was when tailgating was universally frowned upon. Tailgating meant that an obnoxious motorist was following your vehicle so closely that he could read the care instructions on the tag of your T-shirt.Tailgating has since taken on another meaning.
Gage Wik, along with other youth from Christ the King Catholic Church, helps load artifacts from the Day County Courthouse Museum into a trailer Oct. 1. The entire courthouse museum will be transported to the Museum of Wildlife, Science & Industry which has built an additional building to house the combination of the two museums.
