State marks tree planting funds for Day County

 15 years ago May 18, 2009Meeting in special session, Day County Commissioners signed several agreements needed by the state in order for the county to be eligible for federal economic stimulus package road building funds.

Cleaning business is under new authority

Webster Carpet Cleaning is under new management. Haabala Cleaning LLC is headed by Chad and Bobbie Haabala and now operates the business.The Haabalas took over the business April 27 after hearing previous co-owners Kyle and Becky Hubsch were interested in selling.

Fourteen members of Progressive Reading Circle attended the meeting hosted by Jan Ingalls. Denice Knapp provided the lesson on Sashiko-the art of hand stitching which originated in rural Japan and is still used.
