Four and a half days were suitable for fieldwork during the week ending July 7, according to the latest crop progress and condition report from the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service for the Northern Plains Region.

Webster Area Youth Track and Field Meet took place June 29. Robert Kwasniewski raises the starting gun for the boys ages 11-12 100 meter race. Kwasniewski volunteered his time as the official starter of the meet. Runners pictured from left are Colton Hanson, Cooper Gangle, Tak Lesnar and Hunter Sinner. The South Dakota Farm Bureau will be hosting a program on climate-smart agriculture and the latest updates on ways farmers can access incentives for sustainable practices at the Izaak Walton League July 17.The name of the program is Making Sense out of Climate-Smart Sustainability Programs.

Enemy Swim Day School receives grant for program

Enemy Swim Day School has been awarded funding from the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Centers for their out-of-school time program. Over the course of the next five years, they will receive just shy of $1 million.

Larson reflects on semester in France

Blaize Larson of Webster experienced quite the lifestyle change when he decided to travel to France as an exchange student for a semester.
