Wind tower setback moved to general election

During the Sept. 20 Day County Commissioners meeting the topic of wind tower setbacks was brought up yet again, although this time it was to announce that the one-half mile set back which was formally adopted Aug. 20 has now been moved to the general ballot for the upcoming election.
As the annual Fort Sisseton Harvest Festival took place Sept. 21, kite flying was one of the activities offered for attendees to partake in. Wallace resident declared winner of Federal Duck Stamp Art contest

Adam Grimm of Wallace was declared winner of the 2024 Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest Sept. 20.
Streets are broken up around Webster as B&B Contracting Inc. and Dahme Construction prepare to lay new asphalt before the snow flies. According to Dan Kirchmeier, street superintendent, they are hoping to have around 85 precent of the work completed within the next couple of weeks as long as the weather remains cooperative. 25th annual Pumpkin Fest ready to commence

The 25th annual Pumpkin Fest is set to take place Oct. 4-5. The celebration will see multiple new events for attendees to enjoy. According to Chamber of Commerce president Katy Marx, Pumpkin Fest will allow people to enjoy the city of Webster.
