Celebrating 145 years of farming

Gilbert Nelson left Norway in 1864 and settled in Ettrick, WI. He joined the Wisconsin Regulars and served in the Civil War. By 1881, Gilbert and his wife, Anna, had five sons and a daughter.

HistoricEvEnts 15 years ago August 1, 2011A powerful thunderstorm with torrential rains and damaging winds ripped through central and eastern South Dakota July 26. Winds were clocked at 70-80 mph with one report of a 100 mph gust.

What all started out as a conversation became a reality in 2021, when Aaron, Kristi and their sons Gabriel and Aiden Gaikowski purchased The New Frontier Steakhouse & Lounge after the passing of previous owner Steve Dolney.
