Webster City Council business meeting flies

Members of the Webster City Council met for a brief meeting Feb. 3 to attend to regular monthly matters.Business was attended to swiftly with all but one council member present; Stacy Mount was absent from the proceedings.
An anonymous citizen purchased a jacket at Ace Hardware Feb. 6 for Webster Area School crossing guard Annette Duarte after they saw her in the cold without the proper attire. Once the jacket was purchased, the good Samaritan asked Ace Hardware owner Shannon Garduno to drop the jacket off at the school for Duarte. Plans on track for artifacts transplant and addition to Museum of Wildlife, Science and Industry

Museum of Wildlife, Science and Industry’s (MWSI) plan to move artifacts from the Day County Courthouse museum has progressed with contractors and plans being developed. Representing MWSI, Monte Rougemont said the moving process will begin in the late summer months or early fall 2025.After the Sept.

School board to move forward in 1950s wing plans

Webster Area School Board held a special meeting Feb. 3 to discuss issues surrounding the 1950s wing and ramifications the impending demolition may have on Webster wrestlers. During the meeting, School Board President Tom Sannes made a motion to discuss the bid received from Architecture Inc.
