PIERRE – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) kicks off the seventh year of the Nest Predator Bounty Program as South Dakota youth under the age of 18 can begin harvesting nest predators for submission March 1.The program will open to all South Dakota residents April 1.

Winds cause semi-truck with light load to tip over on Highway 12

Heading east on Hwy. 12 just west of Holmquist a semitruck tipped over Feb. 28 due to the high wind speeds. Day County Sheriff Jerred Schreur said no injuries were sustained in the incident and the semitruck was able to be set upright and removed from the highway.

As Day County Commissioners met March 4, Day County Ambulance Service Director Chad Madsen received approval from the commissioners to continue with the grant received to fund the Aladtec software and purchase of power load cot.
