Waubay Mayor Kevin Jens has died.
The long-time community leader unexpectedly passed in his sleep Nov. 12 while at home. Jens was reelected to the position of mayor in Waubay this spring for a two-year term. He ran unopposed.
Jens was first elected to the chair of mayor April 11, 2000. He would have celebrated 25 years in office this coming spring.
