Fire department responds to number of calls to start new year
Webster Fire Department responded to a call which was a suspected gas leak at the United States Post Office Jan. 6. According to assistant fire chief Eric Kwasniewski it was determined to be a sewer odor in a frozen vent pipe. Reporter & Farmer | Brenner Cariveau
Webster Fire Department responded to three calls spanning Jan. 4-6. The calls included a house fire, a potential gas leak and a crash into the cable barrier on south Hwy. 25.
According to assistant fire chief Eric Kwasniewski the fire department responded to a chimney fire call the morning of Jan. 4 near 427th Ave. Kwasniewski said there is not a definite cause for the start of the fire.
